Clemson University Libraries seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented Digital Collections Archivist. This faculty member will provide leadership and expertise in the collection, transfer, storage, description, and preservation of born-digital and digitized materials, including developing workflows, policies, and procedures that help staff carry out these tasks. The Digital Collections Archivist works across manuscript collections and the university archives on digital archiving projects. The incumbent will contribute to Library wide digital and preservation projects in collaboration with appropriate colleagues. Library faculty are members of the academic community, with responsibilities in the areas of librarianship, scholarship, and service. 
The ideal candidate for this role will have an ALA-accredited graduate degree in librarianship or other relevant graduate degree in another scholarly field as deemed appropriate by the Libraries, and at least one year experience working in an archives or special collections environment, including digitization projects and working with digital archives. It is also important that a candidate has knowledge of tools and software that capture, manage, and deliver born-digital and digitized materials and the proven ability to work collaboratively within, and across, teams. Preferred qualifications include Society of American Archivists Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) Certificate, knowledge of digital archiving tools such as BitCurator and ePadd, and knowledge of digital preservation tools such as Archivematica, Preservica, and Archive-It. This is a 12-month tenure-track position accountable to the Head of Special Collections and Archives. The position provides a minimum salary of $70,000 based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The 3-hour exam will be offered multiple times throughout the three days, and you can choose the time slots that fit your availability. Each proctoring session lasts for 5 hours and is entirely online. It’s a great chance to meet your fellow CAs and to help future CAs!
