Job Summary/Basic Function
Manage all aspects of the Albert Gore Research Center's archival collections in cooperation with Center Director and Center archival staff. Develop and implement accessioning and analog/digital processing procedures in accordance with professional standards for archival and artifact collections in multiple formats; develop and implement record management strategies for institutional archives across the university in cooperation with university offices and units and according to state and federal law and Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines; participate in the creation of exhibits of Center materials, develop, implement, and maintain digital archival standards, including digital preservation and digital access of materials; supervise graduate assistants and student workers in cooperation with Center Director and archival staff, represent the Center in the professional archival community, and advise and assist Center Director on archival standards and procedures, and on grants and externally funded strategies.

Required Education
Master's degree in history/public history with a concentration in archival studies or library/information science with a concentration in archival studies or management.

Required Related Experience
Three years of relevant professional experience as a records manager in an institutional archival setting. Demonstrated experience in arrangement and description of large political manuscript or archival collections that include photographs, recorded media, museum collections, and digital media. Demonstrated experience in digital archives management.

Required License/Registration/Certification
No required certifications beyond required educational credentials.

Desirable Related Experience
Supervisory experience preferred. Work experience in a university setting and knowledge of university archive operations preferred. Formal training or accomplishment in grant writing, web design, and digitization projects preferred. Graduate coursework in modern American history preferred. Experience conducting oral history interviews preferred.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification
Certification by the Academy of Certified Archivists desirable, but not required.

The 3-hour exam will be offered multiple times throughout the three days, and you can choose the time slots that fit your availability.
